James Hardaker
A medallist at National and European level representing England, James Hardaker holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Science. A fully qualified diving teacher under ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) James fist developed coaching skills working with Great Britain’s head junior coach and with ex Mexican National team diver Fito Guttirez.
He was appointed Head Coach to Wellington Diving Club in October 2003 and as Head Coach to Diving NZ National Squad, 2006/7.
Under James’ visionary and extremely proficient coaching Wellington Diving Club has surged ahead, with our divers attaining NZ Records every year since 2005, as well as medals success in the 2007 Australian Elite Championships. Currently Wellington Club Divers hold all competition titles at National Level.
James has put together a development pathway to allow divers at every level to enjoy their diving experience and to go as far as they wish to in the sport. His drive to see our coaches developed and supported has seen increased numbers of coaches, with a vision for further coaches as the club grows and flourishes.
